P-47 experimentals - some what-if profiles.

Well, I’m still working off my disappointment that AMTech went under before they got to their P-47 experimentals kits. So I started taking my frustration out in art. Been meaning to do this for years, actually, and I finally got around to it.

P-47H and P-72 Operational Profiles

Just for fun, and the webpage is very basic for now.

I’ll get around to some P-47Js eventually.

Honey, remember that picture we saw at the Post Office? Well…he’s still out there! Look!

You need a bigger hammer dude! The profiles look really good.

I know how frustrating some kits can be. I picked up an aftermarket resin set over the weekend and found it was chock full of RTV, which meant it wasn’t a good casting. It will fall under the hammer (my size 13 boots) in short order if I don’t get a replacement from the manufacturer. Grrrr! [censored]

Good to hear from you again John. Your talent as an Artist is nearly on the same level as your modeling skill, which means Great Work. I share your disappointment in AMT’s demise.

Regards, Rick

Excellent profiles, cool stuff!

Hey those are really cool. How about some top or front views? I would have liked to have seen Amtech say afloat as well. I was holding out for the P 40Q.

I am curios as to if the Reno air racer happened to be owned by an all female team? [:P] [:-^]

Good looking profiles, John.

Some definately interesting ideas there. Your art work is truly superb.

Those are really cool!

So, who’s gonna do one of those? Anybody?

Great schemes, John. The XP-72 would have been perhaps the best looking Thunderbolt in service markings. Looks better in your markings than plain silver.

Superb work John.[tup] Many thanks for sharing these.
