Hello all. I’m current building a P-47 Razorback D-1. All my research at this point seems to suggest the D-1 was similar to the C models, except for the cowl flaps of course which were different. From what I can tell, there weren’t any significant changes until the D-15 variant came out. Its agreed that all D models had a belly tank provision and even C planes were field modified, however, I can’t seem to find out when the wing pylons were added. Does anyone know which variant started the use of these? For all I know, the addition of the pylons were the difference between the C and early D models. Clarification here would be certainly appreciated.
Thanks
Joe
