Very nicely done. I’ve got the kit in my stash but haven’t tackled it yet. Hope it comes out as well as yours.
Regards, Rick
Looks good! How’d she go together for you?
Fade to Black…
No real complaints. I think the kit is better than many of the online reviews would lead one to believe. The front windscreen in mine was cracked. Sent an email to Trumpeter, but never heard anything from them. I resurrected the front canopy from an old Monogram P-40B. It fit pretty good. Decals are from the old Aeromaster set of 1996.
Hmmm… that’s good to know. I’m thinking of doing some kitbashing with mine and the windscreen is one piece that would go.
Thanks!

Very nice looking build

VEry inspiring! I’ve got my Trumpeter kit “on deck” as my next build. It’s good to hear another positive review of the kit. Which decal set did you use? I picked up the Sky Models package with about 12 options of B and E’s.
Great looking tigershark!
That’s a very nice looking P-40. Excellent paint and weathering. Thanks for the look.

I used the Aeromaster AVG set from 1996. I understand it has some inaccuracies but it looks good to me.
Looks nice very nice job on the weathering.
Excellent build… be very proud.
that looks like a great kit…thanks for sharing.
Looks really good, I really like the last pic of it looks real!
All I can say is [#ditto]. Everyone else has already said how nice it looks, but I’ll say it anyway; LOOKS GREAT![8D]
Another superb build, Michael! I’ve the kit in my stash too, and have a couple of questions if you don’t mind answering:
First, did you use the kit cockpit? I’ve heard that it’s the worst part of the kit due to the fact that it’s incorrect in respect to size. However, I’m not sure I like the idea of shelling out another $20-$30 for an aftermarket cockpit.
Second, what paints did you use and what did you do as far as weathering?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
Looks great.
WOW,thats amazing,I like the back ground!
Great job on the build.
