[:)] My 1/72 Hasegawa orion in Naval Rearch Laborotory
Enjoy,
chakraphad. [:D]
Very nice! The weathering looks very realistic. Did you scratchbuild the radar dome? I converted mine into a P-3 “Super B.” It’s a great kit with the exception of the landing gear, very undetailed.
Man you did a bang up job on that P-3. have to agree with navyao on the gear i had redo the one i built for my brother she is now flying over water on the base.
That is a real beauty ! I’ve always thought the Orion was a good looking air frame. Your model is really an eye catcher !

Man that is an awesome build!! I have always wanted one of these kits. How is the fit? Are the panel lines raised or recessed? I have a thing for Navy a/c even if they are land based. Excellent job!
Beautiful job on the Orion. Finishing is first rate.
Excellent job, and a very original choice. I’ve considered doing a VX30 ‘billboard’ model.

Great job,
I’ve been wanting to do one of these as an Aero-Union air tanker, but still have a P2V, S2 and DC6 ahead of it. Any tips on the kit you might be able to share?
GREAT Build

Excellent work!
I just built this same kit (sans the radar assembly, or whatever that is [?]) for my step-father who worked on these birds during Vietnam.
Excellent build [tup]. Really nice work.
Regards, Rick
So how does this kit go together. My cousin is a navigator in the navy. He flys in the P-3. I was considering building one for him With the markings for his plane. Is this the best kit out there or can anyone recomened something better? Soulcrusher
I’ve got the same kit waiting in the closet to be converted into a WP-3D hurricane hunter, if I ever finish my tornado chase vehicle.
By the way, I noticed one decal reads, “United StateD Navy.” Is that misspelling on the real plane? If so, what’s the story?
Very nice job!
I was up near Whidbey NAS today, and there was at least one P-3 flying around in the area for quite a while - flew right over us as we were driving down a country road at one point. My cousin flew them for a while - funny thing is his brother served on submarines - maybe some sibling rivalry there?

Good eye Jim .
Excellent job on the build, Chakraphad! The finish looks beautiful.

Hey! That’s very tidy! And I like it.
You should be very happy with that, man.
Thanks for the pics.
