Here’s the HAS P-39 great kit to build

Nice work! Love the little dio set up there, the figures look great! Is the jeep verlinden?
I like it, very nice! Is this 1/48? Also, what are you using for your base?
I think it was Tamiya?
Base was foamboard with static grass applied
[Y][Y] nice build liked the pics.

Another great build of an often overlooked aircraft.
Very sweet. Great job!!
Very cool! Great photography too [:D]
[dto:] Great build!
Very nice…
Interesting aircraft. The engine was behind the pilot, and he straddled the drive shaft to the prop, which ran under his seat and between his legs. I do not think I would feel very comfortable flying that thing- waiting for something to break down there…OOOOOH!
I love it!! I always remember Bud Anderson talking about this plane in his auto-biography saying how fun it was to taxi in the P-39 with the window rolled down and your arm resting on the window sill like you were cruising Main St. on a Friday night (or words to that effect…).
One note: IIRC, they usually entered and exited thru the right side door because the throttle quadrant got in the way going in and out the left door.
Nicely done.[:D[ I really like the second picture.[H]
how much weight did you need in the nose?
Very nice job there! Your figures do look awesome too. Good work.
Gary
Nicely done [Y]. Thanks for sharing.

I used a ball of silly putty
Yah, the windows can be rolled down like that, but only during taxi, like you stated… The windows will shatter if the door is slammed shut with them only partially rolled down. They gotta be all up or all down… Opening them in-flight will cause a lot of buffeting too… Regarding entrance & exit, you’re right about the right door being used… The left one can’t be opened from the outside… Although it CAN be jettisoned form outside, lol… I know this first hand, BTW.
Been looking for those squadron insignia decals… But my research shows the skull on a blue background…
Overall, an outstanding build of the 1st “Old Crow”…
Looks awesome that dio is fantastic!
