crockett, leemitcheltree and rjkplasticmod, now you have seen color close-up pics of the real thing, do you thing Jakkraphad has chosen the right color for the leading edge and other parts like window frames? :
It’s not the real thing man, it is a museum restoration that is not representative of the real aircraft. You have a good model of a P-38 that has been inaccurately restored. The “real” thing are the actual WWll photos that I provided you, which are not even close to what is sitting in the museum. Do you understand where I am coming from here?
Modelers take all kinds of liberties when it comes to realism in thier builds. You decided to buy this thing and you are happy with it, that is all that really matters. It doesn’t matter what I think. I just asked a question about how the model was finished, and it’s wrong-no big deal.
