I want to try out the salt weathering technique on my Airfix P-38. Any suggestions as to what color is under the paint.

Natural metal i’d say[#dots]

I would say a base of aluminum, and then maybe some places with chromate green or yellow, with the camouflage finish.

Thanks for all the help. I am going to go with a NMF and have some areas chromite green. I’ll post some pics when I’m done. I’m currently working on the cockpit.
