P-3 mineroller (trawl)

I want to make a T-34 with a P-3 mine roller. The problem I have run into is that I have found two different types and I am not sure if one is correct or both could have been used. The zvezda kit and the two pictures I have from T-34 In Action show one type and it appears that the both pictures were taken in 1945 and latter. I am not really a “Rivet Counter” but I don’t want some one to say “They didn’t use that until after 1945…now you must DIE”. I look at the excellent pictures in the Scratchbuilding forum by Yann Solo and have found pictures off the Internet that show this type being used on T34-76 1943 (I am more interested in one from this time period).

The main difference appears to be how the wheels are attached to the Y yoke.

Any takers?

I can’t direct you to the one that is more accurate. I built my T34-85 Maquette with mineroller kit OOB. I’ve seen different versions of the mine roller system by different kit mfgs. also. I started thinking that maybe the roller systems were built like the allied tank hedge blades which were all a little different.

Well I was wondering if that might be the case. Some times I like to make somthing that kit manufactures don’t make.
