P-3 assistance request.

Ther is a gentleman that is asking for help witha lost P-3 part, the post is here http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=21729
Can someone lend a hand?

Has he ever tried to get the part from Hasegawa? Just a question. I dont have that kit and it really dont hurt to try to see if he can order it from them.

Disregard, He has posted here now.

I actually have the Hasegawa kit, working VERY slowly on it. AllI have finished so far is the cockpit. The kit is decent, but not the best I have seen. The details are a little soft on some of the interior pieces, and to be honest, it seems a little minimal as far as that detail goes. The instruments are all decal…

In addition, I noticed some extra plastic on the propellers that looks like it may have bled out during the casting process. The props themselves are in good shape, it just looks like it will require a little extra cleanup. One other thing, because this is an older model, the panel lines are raised. I suppose you could scribe them if you want, I personally am not.

All in all, it is not a bad kit, it is just typical of an older kit is all. I would say that if you like the P-3’s go ahead! The biggest thing this kit has going for it is that it is a cool subject, and there are virtually no other ones out there (that I have found).

Dang, you know what? I just realised that you were asking for just a part from them…my bad.

I have not worked with them, but I’ll tell you hwat, if it is a part that I am not using for my build, you are welcome to it. THe only way I could see that being of any benefit is if you were building the Canadian bird, and are missing a part specific to that, as I am building the American one…let me know, I will help if I can.
