Me too! I wonder what ever happened to that one.
I think I’d wait for the Ban Dai one to pop up though…

Well if you did it as a small child and just sort of slapped glue and paint on it I may have it now!
It will be a fun salvage project at some point.
I’ve been pretty well-behaved lately, but with my mind turned toward the Battle of Britain as I’m getting ready to start my HobbyBoss Hurricane MkI, I made the mistake of looking around for the best Battle of Britain 1/48th Bf-110 kit. Sprue Brothers gets stuff to me in two days very reliably…
It seemed too good a value to pass up. It’s got no less than a dozen marking options, resin/PE/masks included and even a sprue of ground crew figures. It’ll be my first Edward build and I’m already impressed by the parts count alone, to say nothing of the glossy, staple-bound, heavy-paper, instruction booklet.
That should be a great build for you. I’ve got a couple of Eduard kits in the stash but haven’t made one yet. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the German "Less than Stellar"aircraft of the Battle of Britain like the Me-110 & the Ju-87. Funny how each of them found their niche later in the war,(night fighter & ground attack/tank destroyer)
I picked this one up at work nearly two weeks ago… but then I got laid low by some cough that was going around here, so posting kinda took a back seat until now…
Oh, this is good. Very good. And only around the corner ![]()

I’ve been on the hunt for one of these but wasn’t paying the price most were asking for it. Finally got a good deal, so its on the way.
I just got back from the local model show here in Anniston, and I should give you a rundown of what I’ve acquired.
The Mercury / Gemini kit is one to replace items I already have, and the Bf-110E is a kit I wanted. All told, $35. Now the other three I won in the raffle, which cost $20. I actually won FOUR aircraft kits, but I gave the 1/72 Flogger away since I don’t have a desire to build modern military jets. The other was a 1/32 Dragon Bf-110 D1/R1, which I traded for the MPC 1/72 JU-52.
“WHAT?” Well, I know I’d never build something as large as a 1/32 Bf-110, so it was a good deal (for someone). I was looking for a Heller JU-52, but this was the only JU-52 available. I hope to do it for the BOB GB.
Gary
Great deal! I was looking at the 111 just the other day.
Nice score there. I’ve still got a few bits of that 52 bouncing around in my spare parts bin. I’m intrigued by the Bearcat, haven’t seen it before. Can you post some pics of the inside bits?
A couple of things came in today. For the Fw190F-8, I’ll be building that later this year. For the Tigercat, I’ll get around to it eventually, but didn’t want to pass this up when I found it.
I’ll have to scratch build the cockpit for that Tigercat.
I guess it’s a Bearcat modified for racing. I have no interest in it. If you want it, just pay postage and it’s yours.
Gary
The bearcat was quite the hotrod.
It’s this kit

Thanks very much for the offer, very generous of you. Unfortunately my scale of preference is 1/72 so although I’m interested, it would not be comfortable in my stash.
Greysnake, that’s a great deal.
Got it! It arrived while I was out for SAR training, so it’s been sitting unopened for a while:
Another thing to stick into the stash, since I’ve committed to the Hurricane after I finish the Tony, but this one might be moving toward the top. I want to see if I can create decals to emulate “Cutter’s Goose” just to make me smile when I see it (if I ever finish it!).
I think this is the single most expensive single kit I’ve ever purchased, based pretty much entirely on the shipping cost from the EU. I’ve got another shipment coming from Ukraine that has the most expensive single kit without shipping coming, but that’s another post…
Congrats on getting the Goose! I saw a 1/48 Grumman Goose at the IPMS/USA Nats last year, but had to put it back on the shelf as the price of $150 was too much for me. ![]()
