Other than FSM, what kind of Mags do you subscribe to for reference/tips? and why? I am looking to expand into new mags, but I dont really know what is out there.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

can you get that in the USA? Iooked at the website and it has the curvy L pound symbol. Is it only available in Britan?

Plus more…I buy them via Squadron and only the issue(s) I’m interested in.

Sometimes, when I can get to the book store (none locally) I can pick them up on the newsstand. Try Borders, Books-a-million, et cetera; the big chain stores.

I get Scale Aviation Modeller at Barnes and Nobel. I get Scale Aircraft Modelling at a local magazine store.

Yes - I used to subscribe to it. They do a currency conversion and charge your credit card in US dollars. THe only down side is when you see new items or sales on items you’d like, then realize you’d have to drive to London to take advantage of them. Excellent photos, etc.

Military In Scale

Scale Aviation Modeller International

Military Aircraft Monthly International

I’ll also pick up Scale Military Modeller International & Scale Aircraft Modelling from Barnes & Nobel from time to time.

I love the amount of detail that some of the Brit mags go into on their subject, plenty of text and color plate images. For example, this months Mil. Aircraft Monthly had color plates of Russian P-47’s, A-4 Skyhawks, Vought Kingfishers & Arado Ar 234’s.

I also recomend Military in Scale for armor and SAMI and Model AIrcraft International for aircraft. The closest the among the British mags to FSM is Tamiya Model International - they also publish the aforemetnioend Model Aircraft International - it covers all topics, from sci-fi, aircraft, armor, ships, cars, etc… and usually have 1 article on each topic.

i read all the mags the other guys said plus …

i find some great models in penthouse and playboy

Here in Houston there’s a magazine store called Issues that I can find all the model and aircraft (Combat Aircraft) that I could ever want.
