OT-Sending Models to The Troops

Could someone please give me some information as to how to send models to the war zones? I need info on packing-mailing address-do you send them US Mail and details that I will need to know to get them in the right hands. I will be sending only models. Thank you in advance.

Regards Bob

Here is all the info you need http://www.finescale.com/FSM/CS/forums/548678/ShowPost.aspx

There is a new one starting in Kosovo, it is list in that same forum

I would just like to say how welcome those models are. I was serving alongside the US Forces in Bahgdad (the token Brit [;)] ) . It was a great way to unwind by just building a model… also having the paints and equipment was great as its not the kind of thing we carry to a war zone. Many thanks for all those who sent models and modeling supplies.

Awesome. [:)]

I would suggest taking a look at the thread suggested, which links to a list of contacts. I would suggest contacting someone there through email to make sure the address is still valid. It’s not uncommon for some of the POCs to rotate out and for addresses to change. I would also take a look at some of the requests posted in the Charity & Goodwill thread. Those are likely to have the most current information (if it’s been posted recently).

Yes good point about POCs I was POC in the Bahgdad Model Club for a short time and we were still getting mail addressed personnally to the prevouse guy which can cause problems. Always best to address it to something like Model Rep at wherever or MWR (moral, welfare and recration) Center at location. I believe KBR (Kellogg Brown Root contractors) took on some of the reponsability at many locations.
