OT: Even Simulated Tigers are great

A little off topic…

Someone from work was nice enough to lend me there “Band of Brothers” DVD set. I really enjoyed the series and really enjoyed seeing all that armor driving around.

Even though I knew the Tigers were modified T-34’s (same as private Ryan and I’m guessing they got the idea from Kellies Heroes?) it was oh so cool to watch them. When they panned by them quickly it was pretty convincing.

I just ordered a VHS called “Tiger Attack!!” thru the History Channel. Has anybody else seen this?

I haven’t seen it yet, but it sounds very good. (My luck I’d order it and get something about domestic tigers attacking their owners!)…
There used to be a conversion kit advertised in FSM for the ‘Tiger 34’ seen in the movies. Probably another fun build and possiblities for some dioramas.

Ron.

Kumakichi,

I have a copy, that I taped when the show aired on T.V. It’s pretty good. They interview Otto Carious and they even have a small segment on Wittmann (Villers-Bocage) [}:)]

Yea the way my lucks been going lately it wouldn’t suprise me at all to see “Tigers and their mating habits” show up in my mailbox. [:0]

Its good to hear it was a good video. I wish I had taped it when it aired. It was a little expensive but oh well.

Simulated or not, those Tigers in BOB were great and awesome. How I wished there were more scenes involving them. The assault guns were cool, too.
