I’ve been lurking for quite a while - mainly because I’ve been slowly wading back into the hobby after a 14 year hiatus and I want to do things “right” this time around
[:D]
So, I’ve done my research - I’ve now figured out which Airbrush is right for me, which compressor is the right fit and how to build a proper spray booth all thanks to the helpful folks on this forum and the handy “Advanced Search” function.
So I just want to extend a thank you to all of you that I’ve read and all the answers that I’ve garnered without even having to ask my questions of you all… [:)]
great! hope you enjoy!!! a good airbrush and a compressor can make a big difference in your modeling! and glad you could find what you needed in the search! I know even myself sometimes I find myself a little put back at either too little or too much info on a search…
After much vasilating and research I decided on the Iwata Revolution CR - It’s fairly reasonably priced up here in Canada at $80.00 CDN (about $65 USD) for the small kit. To go with it, I’m going to snag the Iwata Sprint Jet (seeing as how, after research here, I realized that the smart jet’s auto shut off is sort of pointless at the PSI that’s going to be used for airbrushing models). [:D]
I’ll have to start by building the spray booth though - using a fan from Grainger (up in Canada http://www.acklandsgrainger.com) and some plywood etc.
Hopefully once all that is complete I can actually start building again smirk
Good luck with the new airbrush and compressor.
Keep us informed on how it goes.
I agree with you that this forum has some awesome people who are very helpful.
