I have just purchased the 1:48 kit - can anyone point me in the direction of the correct (blue) colours and cockpit detail etc.?? Any observations on general accuracy would also be welcome.
Depends on the era of the plane. If it is a tri-blue color scheme then these are the colors you need for the fuselage.
Dark Sea Blue FS15042
Intermediate Blue FS35164
Insignia White FS17875
…allthough I use any white I have available honestly.
As for cockpit detail are you asking for the correct colors, or are you looking for detailed pictures of the OS2U interior? Please clarify.
It’s not bad for an older kit. Not much cockpit detail and the engine is molded in the cowl. As Quagmyre said colors depend on the version you are building. If you want to go to town on it Cutting edge offer a resin cockpit, cowling and floats.

I just cut the engine out of the kit cowl added engine from Hobbycraft hawk 75 and scratch built some cockpit details.
Nice info. I have two of the kits boxed and should think about building one
If you are doing an early war version, the colors are blue gray over light gray. The crew area is interior green.
