Help! I am stationed in Germany with the US Army, and I am having a very hard time locating a hobby shop that stocks paints for my armor models. Does anyone know of a mail order company that will ship to my APO address, or to my friend’s German address? Thanks.

One of the best companies I’ve found overseas to deal with (which would probably be best for your purposes, lest you end up waiting forever to obtain your orders) is White Ensign Models in the UK (the US distributor is Snyder and Snyder). They produce a full line of nearly perfectly-matched paints for WWII German armor and nearly every other category you can think of (complete sets of matched RLM colors, etc.). The one limitation is that they only sell enamels. Everything is in 1/2 oz. tins, like Humbrol. They have great service, will answer all your questions, and also sell kits, photoetch (mostly for ships) and other good stuff. I would recommend them very highly to you. I’m sure shipping to Germany would not be a problem.
Greatmodels has some paint for me in the mail. I hope it comes through OK. I’m in Africa.
