For some reason I can’t quote you, Indy, but here’s my reply anyway.
Hi Indy, I was away all day yesterday blowing off steam. There were a few dioramas, 5-6 I think, here are some photos fo the ones that caught my eye

This was all I caught pictures of, I do not beleive they placed. I tried to get pictures of all the winniers, but some guys bolted right away.
Re the Tankrats guy, he was overly friendly in a pushy way, which doesn’t work for me.
Here’s my version:I looked through ALL his Archer stuff looking for US Armored division patches, he had none, so I didn’t buy any. When I saw I looked through, I mean I flipped through the revolving display of cards hung on hooks, I dod not take a single item off a hook.
I looked through ALL his fruil tracks looknig for PZ1 tracks, he had none, so I didn’t buy any. I did not touch any track boxes, I just looked at the edges that say what vehicle they are for.
I looked through his kit stock, didn’t see anything that caught my eye, so I didn’t buy any.
I looked though his figures, none caught my eye and his prices were no better than mu LHS< and I like to toss money there if I can. so I didn’t buy any.
Mind you, I was not in anyone’s way, I didn’t ask for ANY assistance except to ask if he had the division patches, and how much the Alpine figs were. They weren’t forced to hover over me, and didn’t do so, I am very conscious that he is there to make money, so I stayed out of his way. At one point, I actually HANDED a guy a kit he was looking at, and the guy bought it. It was a Stuart.
So finally I spotted a handle bender deal from small shop, while I was talking on the phone with Edmund, and asked the other guy how much it was, intending to buy it on the spot. He didn’t know, so he called over the tank guy, and he said something like “You’ve been loving my display for an hour and you haven’t bought anything yet?” in a real or mock scolding tone. I literally had the product in my hand and my wallet in the other. I said “Not yet,” and put it back on the rack and walked away. This was right about when Ed was telling me about his problems with the guy, then at lunch I heard about your problems.
Anyway, I went into the vendor room after the awards were over to talk to him, offer to let you guys use me to straighten out whatever he owed you and mail it to you for free, but he was GONE like he was never even there at about 3:50.
Well, that’s the story of my last dealings with that guy.
Bill.
