I’m planning on building one of my favorite armored vehicles, the Swedish S-tank. I see Trumpeter sells a couple of different versions in 1/35 scale. Has anyone built one of these kits? I’d love to hear your opinion of the model. Does anyone else make an S-tank kit in 1/35th scale? Trumpeter is the only one I’ve found so far. Seems like Tamiya or someone make a version a while back, but my memory fails me remembering who made it.
I have the Accurate Armour 1/35 kit on my shelf awaiting build. It’s resin, and expensive, and I bought it before Trumpeter came out with its one. I don’t know which is more accurate.AA’s also came with no decals or painting instructions, which is a bit of a bummer. May end up buying a Trumpeter one just so I can get decals, but I hate having two models of the same subject.

I have Sol Models (Korea) version of the S-Tank. It appears to me to be cast in PVC. Good detals all around, but my example suffers from a considerable warpage of the upper Hull part - it’s sunken. I haven’t messed with it much, but I think it can be fixed with some patience and hot water. I also like the Trumpeter kit I have - it looks nice in comparison. I believe I read elsewhere on the 'Net that there were some questions about dimensions, but the finished models I’ve seen look good in the end and do capture the essence of the real vehicle. Jim
I too got the SOL kit, I thought the tracks were brutal. In saying that it was certainly not my first resin kit and by far not my first resin track. I bought the trumpeter kit out of curiosity and it measures up well to the sol kit. I think for the price of the trumpeter kit its well worth the investment.

Terry.
Tamiya’s S-tank was a 1/48 scale motorized toy. Long out of production, your best bet is the Trumpeter kits. They are nice models and look good.
Thanks for all your inputs. Think I’ll go with the Trumpeter kit.
