I have a chance to pick up an Italeri Leopard 1 a4 in 1/35 for around $15. I have had a hard time finding reveiws or opinions of this kit. I always liked the shape of the late Leopard 1s and wouldnt mind adding one to my collection.
builds up into a great kit. I built their 1A5, so there isn’t much difference. Get it, you’ll kick yourself if you don’t! Especially at that price!
Easily one of their best 1/35 scale tank models they made in the 1980s (the M47 Patton was the other). It is the same basic kit reboxed by Revell of Germany. Both are respectable kits 20 years later.
I’ve got one in my stash, haven’t built it yet, but it looks to be easily on par with their very good M47 kit. I’ll be building it once I clear up some space on the shelf and find a decent figure for it.
Thats good to hear. I have the M47 already and will soon be starting it.
How about Italeri Leo IIs?
And one more… on ebay I am seeing Revell M-60s with 500 parts. Is this a reboxing or a new release?
Thanks
The Italeri Leopard II was based on a prototype tank, but not a bad model. Better than the Heller kit of the same time. Both pale in comparison to the Tamiya Leopard II though.
The Revell M60A3 is a rebox of the Esci M60A3TTS. One of the best M60 series tank kits on the market. Same basic kit as the reboxed M60A1 and M60 Blazer that Italeri carries.
Excellent. Thanks for the feedback.
I built this one MANY years ago under the old Testors release boxing of it. It still looks good compard to all the kits that have come since then. I highly recommend buying and building this one.
Is there a conversion kit on the market for make a Tamyia Leo 1 A4 into an A5?
