I’ve just finished a review of the 05 C6 Vette. I was wondering how many of us Vette attics are all done with GM after this mistake… They killed the T/A & Camaro and now they’ve turned the best bang for the buck rocket ship into a Ford probe without pop ups… What is GM thinking…
Well it seems Ford is still on track . Now an 2005 Rouse Mustang or even a SVT Cobra may be the only option left for Muscle in the $50,000 arena.
Any thoughts Vette lovers??
I like the C6. Certainly is different though. It may have lost some of the “essence” of a Corvette. But from what I hear the engine makes up for it. And I also like the 2005 Mustange. That’s a neat change. Out with the old, in with the new, then back to the old (kinda).
I like the C-6 Vette. Far better than C-4. Love the 05 Mustang too. Hope Chevy goes that direction when they bring back the Camaro.(and you know they will)

I saw a few pics, and know precious little, but I like it. It’s definitely not the vette of years past, but like everything in life, things must change. It’s still undoubtedly a vette, and that NO ONE will make a mistake about. Still will continue to be one of the best cars on the road.
Not really a fan of F.O.R.D. (found on road, dead) [:)] but the new mustang looks decent. Still, for the money I’d probably get something else. Maybe an earlier generation GT modded by saleen [:D]

My Father in Law had a 75 Buick with a 350 that was smoking new Vettes then.
My 67 wasn’t touched by a new vette until the C4s arrived in early 80s.
Of course my 67 was not a creature comfort car and was a Garage Queen for several years but 0-60 and 1/4 mile ets in low 11s made it my favorite car. It was stolen from me in 83 and totaled. Only justice was a broken back and wrist slap to idiot who stole it… … Oh well I sold the 427 to a friend who still has it in his 69 Chevelle… My best friend has a tricked out 2003 Mustang GT with turbo tech Blower,headers , etc. 400+ HP. all for about $31,000 car will smoke 90% of whats on the road and cars that cost twice as much… and FMC honors warrentee!!! Seems the way to go today if you want V8 rear wheel drive bang and have limited Bucks… I don’t think the new GTO has room for underhood bolt on performance.
My plans to buy my Dream Vette before I turn 55 are now smashed by the C6 joke . A 05 Mustang project may be in my future and many other Muscle car lovers futures…

I looked at the Vette but wound up with a 2003 Cobra convertable. We dynoed it last weekend at 427 RWHP with just a K&N intake kit. I think the 05 Vette front end looks like a Ferrari.
i dont like how the changed it , dont really matter to me i buy old cars anyways
