Another refence question; For the WW2 German Opel Blitz, I have been told that as the war progressed, the wheels on the vehicle were changed / simplified and I’d like to find references / photos and arftermarket 1/35 scale providers of resin wheels. I am proposing to built a Licence built version built by Mercedes, the Mercedes L701, which they built in 1944 after Opel was hit in a bombing raid. Also I dont like the black plastic tyres provided in the kit.
Lastly, what was the purpose of the Triangle on the cab roof of many Opels and even L701s?

Re: the triangle on the roof, I understand it was an indicator that the truck had a trailer in tow. This would be raised or lowered by the driver/crew before setting out. In the event that the Opel Blitz was towing a trailer on a narrow road and encountered another vehicle with insufficient room to pass, the sign would indicate to the oncoming vehicle that they would need to reverse back to a wider stretch of road. Obviously this is more difficult to do with a trailer, hence a mechanism to enable drivers to quickly determine who had priority.
