Is there any where to buy whole tracks for a dragon kit.I have built one and it looks good, but these little peices of track are tuff.
Hi gagoatman,
Welcome aboard. Someone will be along shortly to help out, but they will need to know what kit you are working on.
Regards,
Joe
Welcome to FSM armor forum gagoatman. Let us know what you are building and maybe we can offer you some help.

AFV Club do one piece vinel tracks and the new M4A2 Sherman from Dragon is going to have a one piece track in the kit instead of the normal track links
then theres Acurate Armour that make flexable resin tracks that you heat and bend around the wheels
I can relate to your feelings. I’ve just finished cleaning up all the individual links to the Dragon Panther D. 4 ejector pin markings per link! I haven’t bothered to count how many links because I’ll just get irritated! Wasn’t a fun job, but the set of ‘riffler’ files I have made the job bearable at least!

Hey Glenn,
If you did more Shermans, you might not have that problem.

Joe
Yeah! Well I guess I like the hard way!
Glenn
Welcome to FSM gagoatman. Good to have you join us !!!
As Jon has already mentioned, AFV does make vinyl replacement tracks. Be sure you get the right ones though, some are for the M4A4 or Sherman Firefly Vc and they will be too long for other Sherman variants.
[#welcome] to the forums gagoatman!!
shermanfreak hi, do you mean to say that i might be spared death by track link??!![:0]
can you (or anyone, please!!![:0])give me the link to AFV where i can get these vinyl tracks??
i’ll be eternally grateful!![:D]
regards,
nick
Nick you could try Hannants, they sell AFV club
Hey Glenn,
I guess those with more talent take the way that presents the greater challenge. I’m a vinyl man myself, so I suppose that says it all. Do admire those that have the talent and patience to do individual tracks. A tip of the hat to all of you.
Regards,
Joe
caveman hi,[:)]
thanks for that…just took a look at hannants, but i don’t know which ones i need…is it the extended body ones, as in the link below?
http://www.hannants.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?Mode=view&Database=cat&R=AF3528
or is a firefly (doing dragon’s Vc kit) a “regular body”…guess i should know this by know eh sherm?![:0]
The Vc is the extended body Nick.
This would be the set you need Nick

You may have to do a slight adjustment to the drive sprocket to make them fit.
IIRC, they are a hair narrower than the DML tracks. (an easy fix)
thanks for your help shermanfreak!
you’ve saved about 10hours of my time…more time to surf here and post!!![:D][:D][:D]
regards,
nick
10 hours … aren’t you the eternal optimist when it comes to DML tracks!!! [;)]
Since we’re talking one piece replacement tracks, do they make some for Dragon’s Stug III? There are a lot of them little guys in there. Does anyone else?
Tamiya do but you might have to phone up there parts replacment depot[:D]
funny shermanfreak!!

Thanks for all the help. This is a jagdpanzer.I painted it panzer gray, than dry brushed 3 times a little lighter each time.It looks good.
