What looks better to you guys single seat fighters or the the two seaters. Imo two seaters look better except for the f-16
It depends. If it’s a pure air-to-air combat plane, I’m a single seat guy. I especially am liking the European single seaters like the Eurofighter, Rafale, Gripen, etc.
If the plane is capable of a ground attack role, I don’t mind two seats.
In a lot of cases, I think a two-seat version of any given plane breaks up its lines, making it look less graceful in the front end. Coming purely from an aesthetics point of view, anyway.

I think it depends on how the aircraft is designed. I can’t imagine an F-14 looking right had there been a single-seat version. However, the two-seat Hornets tend to look like someone photo-shopped it (this is of course my opinion based solely on aesthetics). I think those aircraft initially designed as single-seaters look awkward with an extra seat added in the back.

F model superbug looks great to me. But seeing a second seat on a falcon or raptor is like seeing a corvette with back seats
Well, when learning to fly an aircraft, I prefer two seats, so I can take an instructor along!

The two-seaters were also more helpful for poor wee enlisted pukes to get some flying hours in,we got hauled all over the place in the back seat of Skyhawks,as you say, tough to do that in a single seater
I am of the “depends on the aircraft” camp on this,a Tomcat or a Phantom wouldn’t look right as a single seater (Phantom proposal did look good with only one chair, though),but, a single seat Cougar looks a whole lot better than a 2-seat Cougar

The spine on the “F” model Viper improves the lines of the extended canopy. Almost makes it bearable. [:)]

I agree with the per aircraft basis.
I agree on the per aircraft basis also. Ref. the comment on the 2 seat F-16, the conformal tanks and the spine make it almost an entirely new looking aircraft. F-16 B or D, not so much, F-16F, not too bad.

My F-I-L was gunner on a P-61 in Italy. His pilot got a P-47 and asked him to come.
“Not unless there’s a second seat in it”.
F-4 is the only air superiority a/c I like with two.
I second that. I was able to get in some stick time on Marine and Navy TA-4’s along with hops in a OV-10 and a T-28.can’t do that in a single seater. And I believe the Phantom is the best looking twin seater ever.

Also agree with the design / what we are used to seeing.
A 2 seat Spit just looks ridiculous, whereas a single seat F-4 would probably be worse…
Reverse-scenario.
The Mitsubishi F-1 looks like a T-2 with the rear cockpit painted over. It looks more natural as a two-seater.

A singel seat F-14, that is a great Whiff idea!
