One arm

Hey folks, just wondering if there is anyone else out there building kits with a single arm. I’d like to know a little about your techniques, etc.

Best,

Dave

WOW, that’s dedication!

Totally unrelated to modeling, but I kow a guy up here who races motocross at Broome Tioga national track with one arm and he hauls ***!

Does the double jumps, table tops, everything–freakin’ amazing!

I have enough trouble with two arms! Whats bad is they look like I built them with my feet?[banghead]

Look forward to hearing more from you!

A guy in my neighbourhood rides competition bicycles (endurance) and he’s also a very handy motorcycle mechanic. He’s worked on my bike before, as good as any mechanic I’ve used. I cant imagine what it would be like to make a kit with one hand. I tried to visualise making a kit with one hand tied behind my back, and couldnt. There are a lot of vices, clamps, magic hands, and devices on the market that would come in handy.

Can’t say I’ve ever met a one armed modeler, I know I have problems with two arms

James Sharpe is president of the George Armstrong Custer Gin Drinking and Modeling chapter of IPMS-USA which is headquartered in McKinney, TX and has but one arm. James is perhaps the best armor modeler I’ve ever met and a perennial contender for top armor honors at the IPMS-USA Nats.

I’m one handed (my whole right side is gone do to a stroke) I’d be glad to help as much as I can which isn’t much. Give me some time to get over the shock. Wow!

Please check your email.

Dan
