on the workbench

a little break from the winged things and their dang landing gear. [8D]

gotta practice on my “Tank Noises” [:D]

Are you gonna paint that Walker Bulldog in a Vietnam paint scheme?

Good to see another wingie builder here. I hear the Tamiya kit is a great build to break your teeth on. Good luck.

A Vietnam scheme would be really cool. Will definatly look into that!

Always loved this “sexy” tank!

I did one in an ARVN scheme years ago.

It;s such a cool looking tank. The perfect kind to just take out and head to the local drive-in on a Sunday afternoon!

Welcome to the Armor forums. Welcome to your new “obsession”!

can you post a picture of your ARVN Bulldog ?

After seeing what you did with that Blinder, it’s a shame you can’t paint this in an NMF…[:D]

Can’t wait to see how it comes out! [tup]

Yeah doog. [swg]

lol, you should see the mess I made of my Ki10 perry, attempting artist oils washes [B)]

I PM’d him!! And it think he built it as a M41 BullDoog [:P]

LOL!

Yeah, I would post one, but it’s at my parent’s hose in Pa. 2.5 hours away. It’s part of my old collection that I left at home when I moved up to New York!

I will take photos after Thanksgiving though!

Thanks!

Ok, so here’s my Coaxial Machine Gun:

(with thanks to Modelmadness and Roger Jackson)

I built one of these about 14 years ago and loved it. Defintely one of my better works up to that point. Finished in ARVN livery. It only needs a few add ons to really shine!

The Ghost voice of Gen. Walker booms out!

MAGGOT! LET THERE BE LIGHT!!

and so Pvt. Maggot, now scared out of his mind, fired up the Cutting Torch/Xacto tool, and there was light [angel]

And only screwed up one of the Ports [8D] (because he used the Dremel on that one, and that’s why he is a dam buck private!)

shopping for clear styrene tomorrow.

got some .04 half round and attempted the Sponsoon box detail fix.

add some filler and mr surfacer 500, I think it will be “ok”, for “stand back” scale lol.

this is the better side

Progress Picture time

ok, well I decided to see what Tamiya Fine white primer was like. even though I did not think I really needed it on the Tank, so I sprayed only a light coat, not covering every little place.

Very interesting it truly is “fine” ! It was decanted. A very gassy paint. I worked it for a while in it’s new glass bottle to get the gas out. gotta be carfeul with this stuff.

Then I decide to play a little bit, and I used Tamiya Black-Green to…well OK I Got a New Airbrush! [:D]

Sorry people, I have a very bad compulsive disorder, I cant help spending, when I should not.

I just could not stand all that I heard about Iwata HP-CS.

Well, by golly it was money WELL Spent! Plus a tip from a Auto Modeler at Work (neat to have another Modeler to BS with) and I used my Thumb on the control. that felt good.

This AB has made a believer out of me, and I will no longer tell a AB newbie to get a H model, this thing is so much easier to control, than my Paasch VL botton feed. (I know, understand some folks have no problem with the VL, thats cool. ) Though, I am still “scared” or Wary, of getting enamel or Laquer dryed up in my AB’s so will stick with the Paasch H for Primers or enamels. that way if I somehow ruin the AB, the loss is less!

enough rambling, here is the WIP on the Tammy M41

getting closer.

Going to get even harder now. No Track Experience…painting, fitting, NADA!!

bspeed, your M41 is looking MIGHTY FINE!! Can’t believe you drilled out the viewports on the cupola!![:O]

doog, I’m not into Vietnam era armor, but you’re right on target!! This is one SEXY looking tank!

BTW, what caliber gun does it have?
