Hi all. Just got three pics here that I need identified. As you all know that I am posting pictures from the Ordnance Museum and being that I have been in the clouds to long I need some help to id these and many more vehicles. I call upon all you in the darkside to help me and teach me the ways of the darkside. Again thanx for the help.
What German vehicle is this?

What captured Iraqi Vehcle is this?

What American vehicle is this?

Top one is a modern W. German Jagdpanzer Kanone.
Second photo is a BRDM-2 Soviet recon vehicle in Iraqi markings.
Third one is the M-55 155mm self propelled howitzer based on the M46/M47 chassis.
That’s very interesting. I thought Jagdpanzers were exclusive to WWII. Thanks falcon for the pic and Rob for the ID
[bow][bow][bow] Thank you Rob for the IDs. Not only am I trying to learn about some of the vehicles, it’s also so I dont put down the wrong info on the reference topic on the reference forum. Ever since I got my new and awesome 5 megapixel olympus digital camera, I have been going to the Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and taking some shots to share with everyone. I might have some more photos to ask questions on later, but I dont have much time at night when I am at home to put them on my photobucket account. Before when I use to go out to the museum they had signs in front of the vehicles stating what it was, but for some reason or other they dont have them by the vehicles anymore. So now I am reallying on other people to help me out. Again thanx for the info you have provided.
I took photos of the same vehicles in June. Did you make it to the HQs parade field? They have quite a few fully restored vehicles like the M3A1 Lee, M18 Hellcat, M22 Locust and a couple of others.
[;)][;)] Trust me Rob, there are more photos coming on the reference site.
Alright heres another one that is eluding me on the net.

Also if anyone has some good sites it would be of great help to me. Thanx again. Bryan
I think it is a M114 a scout version of the M113. Had a crew of three and a 20mm gun. They were out of service in 1972 when I joined the Army, but I saw them in salvage yards.
Thanx for the help. Learning something new everyday. Dont know why I let the armor side pass me by all this time? Seeing that I have been living 10 minutes from the museum for more than 20 years. LOL
The M 114 had a Chevy 327 gasoline engine and was a loud vehicle for something supposed to be used for recon. A friend of mine at work was a crewman on one and said they had to dismount and hoof it whenever they wanted to scout anything out.
Kind of takes purpose out of it being a scout vehicle if have to park and hoof it when you want to scout dont it.
No, the vehicle is just used to transport the scouts to the general area. The main scouting job is done on foot. The whole purpose is to observe and report enemy activity without being detected.
don’t forget bout the BMP behind the iraqi scout car!
If you look on my reference topic on the reference forum I have the Iraqi BMP there.
