? on Navy SH-3s in the tactical grey scheme

As part of my great CVW-1 project, I want to build an SH-3 from HS-11, right around the time of its return from Desert Storm. I’ll be using the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, & would like to know how accurate is the painting guide included in the instructions.

The guide call for 35237 Med grey on the spine, 36320 Dk Ghost on the sides & the bottom & rotor blades are 36495 Lt Grey . As I want thismodel to have a used look, what color did the paint fade to overall? I saw one of these aircraft during Fleet Week in NYC back in '91, but that was sooo long ago. Any help would be appreciated.

Can’t be of much help on the right colors but, check out the Squadron In Action on the Seaking. There are a lot of pics of the Seakings in Desert Storm and just after return. It will help you a lot with the weathering.
