I believe the Accurate Miniatures Avenger was boxed by Hasegawa for the Japanese market, like they do with several Monogram kits.

They don’t. They do have a very nice Avenger in 1/72 scale. In 1/48 they have a Dauntless, but no Avenger. kath either meant the Dauntless when he mentioned an Avenger, or he confused the AM kit with Hasegawa.

I wasn’t aware that Hasegawa had a rebox of the AM Avenger in Japan, but regardless it’s still an AM kit.
