Where was the 251/1 Ausf. D at? Like Africa, Normandy, Russian Front? Please help. I hve a dio. idea that I need to get some info on about this 1/2track.
To the best of my knowledge the 251D was used in nearly every theatre that the German army operated in.
The SdKfz 251 Ausf D began production in 1943. It was the most numerous of all 251 variants. The 251/1 Ausf D was the basic infantry carrier version and was found on all fronts after 1943 (ie, not in the Western Desert as the Africa Corp had retreated to the Balkans and Sicily/Italy by then).
