you can see the lineage. i have an idf SHO’T and SHO’T KAL in the stash. i may have to look for an older tamiya CHIEFTAIN at the vendor tables at upcoming contests.
AWESOME BUILD waynec you brought this old kit to life. very nice.[Y]

Hi Wayne. It was nice seeing it in person at the club meeting last night. Great build. Are you entering it in the WingNut contest on the 15th?
I really liked the camo. on it.
Doug
P.S. do you still need those Arabic number decals? I can bring them to the show if you want.
hi doug
always good seeing you too.
ever have a kit that isn’t bad but gives you fits and you keep doing stupid things when building it. this OH-13S is driving me nuts and it shouldn’t. the good news is 1. i can pick up another one this afternoon and 2. i gain more and more confidence repairing goofs each time i make one.
i will have my LAV-III and CENTAURO in armor. given the comments here i think i will enter it and T-34/85. i hand lettered arabic numbers on it. not bad for a first try and most pics show them kinda rough. i would like the arab decals.
the CHALLENGETR I was handpainted 25 years ago. good thing i didn’t have to try to match the green. think i will start looking at stash sales for a CHIEFTAIN now. and i am a warwheel guy. i thought i had given up on tracks.
i picked up some bridal veil today. the bandage gauze works ok on the barrel or rolled up but i have seen pics of LEOPARDS and other AFVs with nets draped over parts of the turrets and the gauze is too heavy. we used to drape nets over my M-106A gun tracks. i’m hoping i can paint it without clogging the holes. got a ahlf yard so i have enough to practice with.
woo hoo. CHALLENGER took 1st (AFV CLUB STRYKER ICV took 2nd) in local contest post ww2 armor. didn’t expect either of these to win. my shelf queen finishes are claening up.
Well done wayne, nice one.
Congratulations Wayne.[B] [Y]
Very nicely done and she looks great on the base [Y]
picked up 2 kits at the contest; SGT YORK and a MAN 8x8 BRD cargo truck and got a tip on squadron one day mystery deal and nailed the hobbyboss OSHKOSH tank transporter for greater than half off. so much for being just a warwheels guy. per some suggestions i found the old tamiya CHIEFTAIN. going to try using bridal veil for camo netting this time. may be thin enough to drape over the turret like i want.
