old model values?

I just got a few older model kits, and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could find the values of these kits, so I don’t build them, then find out I coulda sold them for 50 bucks. anyone know a website that has this?

You might want to scope e-bay to see if anyone else is selling them or something similar and what they’re getting.

Quickest way would be to watch EvilBay. There are others more exact but that would be quickest

There is a publication for model collectors published by a collector in Oklahoma, IIR, and if I remember the title I’ll post it. You could try a web search and it may turn up. It is a guide. The real value is what a willing seller is willing to sell the model for, and what a willing buyer is willing to pay for the model. As stated above e-bay provides a good guide for comparable sales.

I’d agree with the others- E-bay. I buy in the states and ship to Australia and re-sell, and its seeing what other people are willing to pay that alerts me to whats valuable. If you’ve got 6 or 10 guys bidding like crazy against each other, thats a sign. Stuff like 1/32 Bf-110’s, Mosquitoes and Beaufighters (provided you can get them at the right price) I know a lot of people are down on e-bay, for the damage it does to the neighbourhood Hobby store, but, by buying stuff that is OOP, I keep a clear conscience ?

e-bay is a great way to track and get a good idea of the value of things. The true value is what people are willing to actually pay, so that’s an excellent way to figure that out. [:)]

You can have a look at how much they sell it here:
