i went thru my stash and dug out 8 old heller kits typhoon (wwii) fw190 me 109 and others some even came with glue they all have 24-34 parts yeah they’re not perfect but in six days 8 kits complete fit was very good they are not for rivet counters but i had a good time

Quick builds of old kits is a good way to hone skills. Actually, some of the old Heller kits are pretty good.

That’s the main point! I’m with you, I’m a nostalgia builder, I like building kits that I built when I was a kid, because it’s fun. I don’t turn up my nose at contemporary kits, and I appreciate them, but the classics can be very enjoyable.

The point is that you had fun building them. I started building the old Hawk/Testors SNJ-3 kits just to enjoy it again. The new kits are great but I just have no desire to spend a fortune on “museum” pieces. Eventually the novelty of so many parts wears off and it becomes more of a drudgery. So build on and enjoy!!!
