Old Hands, New Ideas

Hi;

As you all well know there is a thread running on this subject. I just didn’t want to clutter it up with this. I sat there at my bench looking at the things I had done to make my Tools and Brushes “Old Hand Friendly” Then I thought. Why didn’t even I, mention this one?

Everyone knows about Evergreen, Right? Well, they have tubing that starts so small it’s alost a joke. Then when you get to Pen or Paint-Brush handle sizes they all slide together. Aha!! There is a Fourth, Maybe Fifth or Sixth way to fix all those Knives, Paint Brush and Pencil handles. And in some cases they will slide off and on very snugly.

Find whatever it is you want do this to. Slide the required tubes together in the length you want and then glue them securely together. Give them a second application of glue 24 hours later. Why? Well, sometimes the glue doesn’t seep all the way down in between all the tubes. Now sand to shape and use on that Tool.

And as I said in the thread, don’t forget the Plastic and Metal cap Guns ( Or Water Pistols ) out there. They can be modified into Killer( Couldn’t resist the Pun!) Airbrush handles. The World is your Oyster, Now go find your Pearl!

And here I thought it was “One night in Bangkok and the world’s your oyster”…

Yeah;

That’s what they said. They didn’t mention the price of admission though. Geez! Whatta hangover!

Long ago I worked at an enginering firm we used to build scale models of projects using evergreen parts. They even had ready made bar joist and structural steel shapes… Great company.
