Well I bought the Academy M4A2 Mariens (sic) kit and a very nice one it is too.
But the question I have to ask myself is with 17 other unmade kits (not to mention the 30+ figure kits) sitting on my shelf when am I actually going to build this?
Oh Well only one more kit that I ‘must have’(3 in 1 Tiger) - at least that is what I keep telling myself.
I’ll be on the shrink’s couch with you. I can’t help it . I don’t know if I think if I don’t buy the kit that I’ll never be able to find another? I look at all the sites and see kits I think are cool and my credit card screams to me. I even went so far as to tell myself I’d only buy with money orders so I’d have time to think about it and probably change my mind, but all that did is create more trips to the money order place!!![banghead]
Asking about this problem here is akin to asking other inmates in the insane asylum why you are there. I have tons of unbuilt kits, but it doesn’t stop me. I am a compulsive buy and an addict.
18.00 dollars a bottle, I couldnt do it I have enough problems telling my wife wife I need more kits (they never seem to have a problem with buying jewelry for some odd reason though). My problem is all the aircraft kits I have when Im an armor nut and only build 1-3 planes a year.
Just don’t waste your money and go to Jason’s shrink, he doesn’t seem to be helping him. [;)] I think we are all in the same boat. It’s so much easier to buy than build. I like to think of myself as a squirrel, gathering kits for a rainy day.
You can thin your collection a bit by thinking about those kits you don´t like anymore (the model from the 70’s, the one without detail or innacurate) and give it away. Remember that nephew that likes lego’s? Drag him into this madness.
Have new members at the local club? They might need something to get started.
At least I have tried that and other things, like buying a kit for every two built, wich is not bad cause it makes you build if you want to buy that “must have” kit.
It’s a simple matter of setting guidelines for yourself. I have a “NO NEW KITS UNTIL SOME ARE FINISHED” policy. When I finish a kit, I buy one or two or three or …
Those paints were mixed for Gunze Sangyo by Nippon Paint the same Company that painted the car in the Pics.
Equivalent to buying House of Kolor paints in the states.
Well, at least you guys don’t have a rather large poster of a burger king Angus Western Steak Burger “The Apprentice Burger” sitting in your room…maybe i should have told my manager that i don’t want it…
I am acquiring a large stash of kits myself. But I have made a resolution that I won’t buy anymore until I finish my mig-29, fw-190, sa-2, ussr frunze, hawker hunter and do-17…
