All right, I won’t. [;)] I had a chance to walk out of my LHS with the 251/C for $20 on consignment, but I balked. I already had AFV’s “D”. It seems you like their Halftracks? I haven’t built one, so can’t help you out. There were so many consignments that I was stacking them in my arms, until I noticed that they were already started on the sticker. Kits were sealed. I thought I was having Christmas for a moment: Dragon hetzer $10, Tamiya Late Tiger I $10, Tamiya Steyr $5. The Dragon 251 was unstarted.

I too am addicted to ebay. I just have to stay off it for awhile, kits are piling up. I’ve been concentrating more on reference anymore until I get a few on the shelves.

well the C I got on Ebay is so full of detail that it is a shame some of it isn’t going to see the light of day once it is built. It has a detailed transmission and fuel tank but as I said before you won’t be able to see them as they will be covered by the fighting compartment floor. Very detailed driving compartment complete with wall mounted MP40’s and magazine storage racks. comes with 2 MG42’s though the instructions state you only need to use one but I’ll use both anyways probably have the 2nd MG42 leaning against the back wall of the fighting compartment or have it on the rear MG mount over the rear door.

The SDkf.251 Auf D has the 20mm mount and is also completely detailed and the tracks on both are the EZ track variety which look sweet and should add the extra detail of track sag that is lacking in the Tamiya Sdkf.251’s that have the rubber band tracks.

It is a shame about the 1 piece tracks on the Tamiya’s, but expensive am’s can bring them up to snuff. Why bother though, when Dragon does it all for you at a fracton of the price.

well the Friul tracks are a heck of alot cheaper than the Resin tracks from Blast models.

Probably close to double what you paid for the Dragon kit.

oh I am going to use the kit tracks though I am probably going to order another set of Friul tracks for the Dragon M270 that I got from Great Models for 30 dollars so the tracks would actually be close to the price of the Dragon kit only 9 bucks higher.
