hello friends,the scene was familiar in early days of OIF when the troops are rolling the highways of iraq and lots of men in civillian clothes walking ,surrendering and waving to the US troops and sometimes do the sneak attack trick,resulting to capturing of few army specialists (if i remember correctly)[:)] heres a Diorama where they held a couple of civillian on the roadside for little bit “how are you?” thing.
Any comments for some shortcomings are welcome[:)]
Good start, but I see some flaws. The biggest is the huge seem lines on all the figures. They look horrible and need to be sanded or scraped down before painting. The figures are not correct either. They are the old Dragon 1ID figures from ODS era ('90-'91). The chemical suits are the old MOPP suits and their gear and vests are old as well. Neither is correct for OIF. (Yes, someone will respond that they saw or wore the old PSGT vests in Iraq, but they were not the norm, but an exception. Almost all wore the IBA vest.) Looks like the civilians came from the ICM Afghan Mujehadin set too. They are not good for Iraqi civilians, they look and dress differently. The LAV looks pretty good though. Good job on it. I agree though, it needs lots and lots of gear added to it. We traveled like gypsies with everything we owned on our vehicles. Good effort, just not accurate. A little more work and it could be great.
i agrre with them it is a good diorama but it will be greater even if you do waht they said… i will also personally add some dust and weathering to the vehicle… it looks “clean”
I think its good[tup] The Lav is very nicely done, I’m not too familiar with those vehicles but I think you have done a good job on it. I like the layout too, quite effective, it resembles a realistic scene, the figures are nicely paited too.

[:)] anthony,your right bro its a good kit and im planning to do the UN and desert scheme.infact your LAV25 is one of the references that i have in doing LAV25 and youve done a good great job there[:)]
Thanks rudedog,i just used sandpaper #100 for the asphalt road bro.its great and very very easy to install on your prospected road project i used glue for adhesion and leave it overnight with weight on top.[:)]
thanks anthony, heavyarty’s works are already one of my references, hes a great builder and i really appreciated his straight to the point advice and constructive comments.
