It’s happening again… right in the middle of my project, that laziness feeling of I want to take a break is coming on [:(] I do but I dont want to, so wish me luck in fighting it, the light at the end of the tunnel is growing more distant by the minute. [

I know how you feel. I was so close to finishing my Panzer III, when suddenly I didn’t like the look of the tracks. So I just stopped. Now I’m in the Panther group build and I feel I can’t make my mind up how to do them there either… [V][:(!]
I know how you feel. I’ve been working on the Tamiya Panzer IV J for about 4 months. When it came to painting the wheels, I just couldn’t do them. It took 2 months to get both sets of wheels painted and on the tank. Now it is sitting on my desk waiting to get decaled and weathered. All I need is about another week of work and it should be done, but I can’t get motivated to finish the kit.
yeah I really need to get motivated to weather, that’s about the only thing though that and… jk

Sounds like a touch of burnout.The way I handle is to put the current project away for a while and work on something different.My Sherman is ready to paint,but I had gotten tired of looking at it.I therefore dusted off the Merkava2 that had been sitting in the closet for over a year.I’ll get back to the Sherman in the spring.Besides,winters are dark in Germany.A “desert” project should warm things up a bit.
It’s OK. We all need time to relax. The interest will soon come back. Try working on another project for a while.
Been there too. In fact I’m there almost constantly, and that’s why I have so many projects going on at the same time…
My Ferdinand, and Tiger 1 early have been in the closet for almost 6 months for that very reason!!! I just broke out my Pz III that has been in the closet for almost as long. Waiting on some reference books that Santa is hopefully going to bring me to complete the Panther build. I also have an LVT waiting to be painted. Oh, and lets not forget about that Stuart that I totally messed up, but still intend on doing once I get the motivation to refabricate a new front plate.[B)]
I get sick of looking at the same model, so i keep moving around. This is espessially the case when i have a lot of little brass bits to look at.[:(!]
I just realized that I only have two kits on the shelf once i finish what i have started. It is alomst time to make a trip to the hobby store!!![:D]
Good advice here, don’t stop, go to another project. I took a break from modelling and it ended up being 10 years!
Since I came back 12 months ago, I have continued superdetailing 2 old partly done projects, completed 3 old projects and started 3 new ones. My prob is I can’t build OOB and be happy with the result. The extra time to detail a model makes the build drag out, and interest wains.
The group build for the Panther is pushing me to actually finish one whoa to go.

I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. You can do it airbrush. I know how you feel i am working on Dragon Models Panther A Late and got to the tracks and it went down hill from there. Now my son has me helping him with his dare I say his car model[:(!][:(!][:(!]. Dont worry you will get the motivation to finish it.
Yup a touch of burn out. I ususally do one of two things after I put the current project aside for a bit. Build one straight out of the box for giggles (which can be just great!) or work on a (gasp) airplane, science fiction, auto or figure kit. A little change can be good at times.
