Lol, I went to Hobby Lobby today just to look around. They had their kits on sale for 30% and I saw that Academy 1/72 P-40E. I wasn’t planning on buying anything, but for $7 after the discount and after you reminding my how nice those little kits are, I couldn’t stand it. Now I’ll have to do some searching around for some decent AM decals.
BTW, my Hobby Lobby finally got some new kits in. It seems they get a few new ones in every once in a while, I check all the time. They had new 1/48 Tamiya Buffalo, Spitfire and Mustang kits. I saw a 1/48 Tamiya Betty bomber that I drooled over, but it’s $67. I’ll have to wait for a sale on that one. There was a 1/48 Tamiya A-10 and F-15. There were several more, including new tank and ship kits. They had a 1/35 Tamiya T-34 I’ve been wanting also. I’ll be looking out for their 50% sale, definately. I was pleasantly surpised that they had so many new kits to choose from.
Oh you will love it, its a great little kit. I had a little trouble with the fusalge halves going together as it seems the IP is a little bit too wide. but then again this is only my third kit since I started back in the hobby so you may not even have the same troubles as me. but you are right for $7 there is no beating it
I have the same kit and was wondering the same thing because the kit decals are the ones I really want to use on that kit. According to the sheet they are printed by Cartograf of Italy and their decals are suppose to be pretty good. Guess we will see when I get around to that one.
I had heard that the coffee mug warmer was a great modeling tool - someone earlier this year mentioned here that they use it for keeping their PE parts softer and easier to bend, I believe - but I’ve had horrible luck shopping for the simplest of items. It took me two weeks to fins some stinking poser putty, for crying out loud - and I didn’t find a mug warmer at either Walmart of Target - go figure! I never go to garage sales (my wife is afraid of what I’d come home with), so where would I be able to find one new?
