I know it’s only a movie,but in the original Sahara,could Bogie and his crew have used the tank offensively,I mean just attack the Germans and just wreak havoc with them,It was said in the movie that Germans had no heavy weapons.Would that had worked ? I am no tactician,but I have always wondered that.
More than likely, but this was a bit of a home propaganda piece & I imagine it was more fitting to humiliate the enemy & take them as POW’s - the goal is achieved in a humane manner, as opposed to wasting them all.

(LOL)…I understood you were just making a comparison of the interiors…of the two, which are very similar.
And I always wondered about that fifth guy in the tank…never could figure out where he would sit…

I agree with the choices of “Sahara” and “Tank” as well, the armor features prominently, but the acting and stories are also very good.
T-55, T-62, T-59, whatever… The gun was definately a 105mm, looked like it came off an M-60 and what tipped me off that it was Israeli without reading anything…
And it was, IMHO, the best tank movie ever…

Yes, that British 105mm gun was the best tank gun around for quite a long time. Heck we still use a modified version on the Stryker MGS.
