Hi;

I thought I had seen most of the weird ways folks build model ships. Well, You could,ve knocked me over with a feather with this one. How about a half model? I know they are all over the place right. Not like this!

This one showed the whole insides of Revell’s U.S.S. Buckley! I have seen half models but this guy must’ve been a watch-maker! Yup ! The bulkheads even had watertight doors in the upperworks as well as the hull! The Engine was very well detailed as well with walkways in diamondplate and bilge pumps and plumbing below.

Even the Fuel and Coolant lines were there! Now, it wasn’t done as the Buckley and even then, How about racks for the crew and the full galley layout! Even the forward head was included! Not to mention the Chain locker and Bosn’s locker.

Seeing half the Wheelhouse/Bridge was odd but interesting, Given that of course the Radar repeater wasn’t present yet, the Captains chair was! All the way aft the steering room was fully done too. Well,I gotta stop now. There’s no space to tell you more. Bye T.B.

I wish I could see it. I love seeing detailed miniature anything. I used to go to Knott’s Berry Farm when I was little. I remember ‘Mott’s Miniatures’ was a display that was there for years. He build miniature houses and business from every era. Dozens and dozens. That is when I knew I wanted to build models and dioramas.

Believe it or not a display at our local Museum of Science and Industry of a human as a Factory! got me interested in the hobby that has now evolved to lots of different stashes!
