It only took a little over a year, off and on. Fully lit except for the white strobes. Bussards rotate and navs flash.

Thanks Chris, I very much appreciate that!
Awesome!!! Really a great build, I agree with AusLexusJapan. That is just beautiful. Thank you for showing us your buildup. Really could learn alot from you!![tup][tup][tup]
Thanks, I didn’t mention it but if you browse the Polar Lights NX-01 folder on my site, you can see the entire buildup process.
Great build! I admire your patience as well as your skill!
im about half way through my NX01 and have just bought the refit as well, so lots of evenings sorted out for the next few months! great job there, its inspired me to get on with getting that NX painted now!
Good Luck to everyone building her! Even if you dont lit it, the saran wrap in the bussard is a cool effect> Thanks for all the nice comments too.
Sorry mate… I had another look at it… Its not quite done yet… There is a panel on the bottom, that is 3 rows from the centre, about 1/16th of the way around from the right, that just doesnt seem strait enough in my opinion!.. he he he he… Just jokes mate… You know I loves ya!

Why you little!
Actually, there are a lot of “errors” on her. I used what I like to refer to as “imagination” for some parts of the ship. It is highly frowned upon for most Trek models!
You know its funny… I have had to use a little artistic licence with my refit! ![]()
As for the so called “Real Trek Modelers” they are just dicks… I have seen plenty of non-canon models getting about. By people that I wouldnt have guessed as the real deal!..But they always come through with the goods, with great modelling skill’s regardless of the erors…
I build something for my own and people I know will see it’s enjoyment… A true Trek model, is like saying Japan deserves be in the Soccer World Cup… We all know they have played crap teams to get in, but who am I to judge???

Wow! I really like your style. Thanks for the step by step info,I liked it so much I even bookmarked your site for when I get the 1/1000 NX.
I used to be so uptight about my models I never finished anything because of the so called “Real Modelers”. Lately however I really want to get back to just enjoying modeling when I get the time.
Toymaker, thats the ultimate compliment and I agree, it should be fun!
That is the best aztecing job I have ever seen,Bravo!!
All I can say is: WOOF!
Dan
Woof! As in " Da Dog pond fa life?" ![]()
Nope-F91-s, “woof” as in wow!
Dan
Inside joke, On American Idol, that Randy judge guy said a contestant was “in da dog pound Fa life”, we all cracked up. I assumed that in da pound was a good thing! ![]()
