not a quite common mustang...

hello fellas, me again, this time its about an old revell P-51D in 1/48 scale, i didnt want to model a tradicional scheme so thats why i made it this way, the big X on the tail is an invention of myself, i think it looks cool but please fell free to tell me what do you think, i rescribed all the panel lines and tried to make some rivets but they didnt went as good as i would wish them to… any way as soon as the weathering gets done the bad details will be almost gone… of by the way i also dropped the flaps and the horizontal stab… ok enough is enough, with out further delay here is the monster…

Thanks for your comments

I like the paint job a lot. It looks very clean. With a little weathering she will definitely be a beauty.

Did you lay a base coat of black and then tape off the stripes for the silver coat?

very shiny… almost blinding

Looks great!

Im doin a mustang myself right now.
What kit is yours and what brand of paint did you use for the NMF?

Thats cool!

Excellent job… keep up the good work [;)]

Not bad Mandrake. The NMF looks very nice.

Regards, Rick

it still looks great![:D]

Looks great so far. As for the “X”, if you like it, go with it. Personally, I think it looks neat.
THanks for sharing. What did you use for the NMF?

It looks cool…u could call it an experimental P51…maybe add some details/weapons not seen on mustangs…I think it looks good though.

Well i first applied a coat of black laquer and then taped the stripes and used Testors aliminum, i will be coating it with Future after i get done with the weathering. Thanks for your kind comments, my best regards fellas!

Thanks!

Hmm maybe add the future and weather then future again. That might work a little better. Unless you already futured it, in which case i’ll sit down and shut up.
