Nostalgia OR Can You Name the Issue?

Here’s a brain Twister for Ya’ll;

Pg 20 The “Mayflower” Goodyear Style

Pg 36 modeling the Model 201 " Super Guppy "

Just think, if you know right off hand you have one heckuva Memory, If you don’t ,well, have fun figuring this little bit of " Memory Lane " a wake Up call .It’s been a lot of water under the Bridge ! T.B.

Mayflower was one of the Goodyear blimps. Super Guppy was that Revell kit of the Nasa caro plane. I used to have the lighted motorize blimp in my room as a kid.

Rob .

Ya missed .Next !

It was the July/ Aug 1984 issue

If I undetstand what you are asking.

I first saw a model of the Goodyear blimp around 1976/77. I was told that at that time it was a re-release from a few years earlier.

The Guppy was running around about the same time. This one I caught at Little rock A.F.B. I don’t know if it’s a standard or Super guppy. The model was originally from Otaki, I believe and then from Entex, just like the C-5A that I bouight in Dover, Del. in 1973.

You are Right , Tojo72 .Isn’t it funny how much some of us remember ? I just got the issue in a bunch of books and it’s missing the cover but you are 100% correct ! ! ! T.B.

Ikar01;

When I look at that plane I wonder how it ever got airborne .And Yes, I saw my first one at LRAFB too !

Well,I always used to page thru my binders while riding the stationary bike,so I clearly remember the cover.

But I must confess that I Googled the answer.

Here’s another one: In what month and year did FSM change the cover font for the magazine name from a more tradtional Times New Roman style font to the more modern style still used today? The format of the magazine also underwent a variety of changes. Here are the covers with the dates removed:
