All I’m sayin’ is, gun control could really screw up my techniques for nose-sitters.

Looks like a great idea to me. I usually use lead BBs attached with 5-Minute epoxy.
I’d recommend using that technique on a “shooting” star [;)]
Hope you dont plan on crossing any borders with that plane.lol
Man, that just blows me away! Nice cockpit too!

Watch out for “lead poisoning”

Good work! I too have used ammo for nose weights. I have a 50 cal. muzzle loader and one sabot round sure beats a handfull of BB’s. Keep up the good work.

That’s a very good idea… but, how do you insert ballast in a n He-219 Uhu kit?..
Nice going on the weight, John [:)] , and beautiful work on the pit!!
Take care,
Frank
Looking good John. I use the fishing sinkers that have a similar shape.
Regards, Rick
I usually glue a couple of pennies together, but that’s just my two cents…

Good thing that’s a D model. A smaller nose would never hold a booger like that!
I’ve always said “slow and fat ends the fight.”
I also use .50 caliber muzzle-loading bullets for nose -weights.Works pretty well and the tapered-cone shape really helps in the fit department!
Thanks for the tip, will have to try it in the future
how did you get the bullet out of the little shell thingy that contains the gun powder thing?
way to go!
And to think I just use ‘bullet’ fishing sinkers![:D]
-great cockpit too-[;)]
