nose painting

What is everyone doing to mask the noses of aircraft to get a good straight line. ie: F-18?
Thanks Greg

Try a circle template from any of the office supply stores. Find a circle that goes back as far as you want, mask the other circles in the template and spray. It works on tires, and anything else that is round and you can lay the template on. And if no one has said it, welcome to the forum.

That’s gonna come in handy! [:D]

Thanks for your ideas. I have been using the plastic circle template, but find I can’t get the paint from sneaking under the template.

Thanks for your welcome as well.

Are you spraying? If so, try it at an angle to the template, in light coats. Put a piece of masking tape on the back side of the template, cut slightly smaller than the hole you are using. It could form a seal against the model. Cut a piece of masking tape on a diagonal, to wrap around the part. The daigonal makes it easier to lay down straight, on a curve.
