North Vietnamese armor--paint?

Anyone have any suggestions for North Vietnamese armor paint colors? Looking for suggestions for vehicles from the early '70s, and for readily available paint brands, if possible. What paints do you guys use? Thanks,

Considering that the NVA utilized Russian arms and armor, any variation of Russian armor green would suffice. Light or dark doesn’t seem to matter, from what I’ve seen in books and documentaries.

That being said, don’t take my word alone, there’s a few guys on this site who actually were in 'Nam. (You know who you are…)

Not a Vietnam vet myself. But all NVA armor was of Soviet or Chicom origin. I would suggest a medium to dark olive green. And of course well weathered from the tropical climate.

Jim, If you don’t mind spray cans, Tamiya’s Olive Drab 2 is a very close match to the green the Soviets used.

Yes, that color is excellent for the modern Soviet armor. Tamiya Olive Green in the bottle is pretty good as well. That is what I used on my NVA T-54.

i use MMA dark green. by the time i wash and weather it looks fine.
