Firstly, welcome to the forums! As for this amazing find you’ve got, I’d recommend either keeping it, or if you’re planning on getting rid of it, donate it to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC or the US Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. If these are originals from these aircraft, they are EXTREMELY historically significant and should be preserved in a museum.
You’ve got a very important find there, I know many of us would love to see it!
wow! I’ll give you $5 for it…na, just kidding, but seriously- this stuff is extremely rare, and would do some good donated to some museum rather than lining the pockets of a collector.
I Concur!!Lose the phone # from your post. What a find you have and, I am quite certain the Smithsonian WILL be more than happy to recieve it & properly display & preserve it.
There’s no way of attaching a zip file, but you can post some pix in your posts. First, post the images online somewhere that lets you have free image display (ie - http://www.photobucket.com/), then take the url of the jpg & post it here. If you click on the Forum Code link in the Post New Reply window (http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/pop_forum_code.asp), it’ll provide you with the simple code to paste your url to. (I’d show you what it is here, but then the site thinks I’m trying to post an image and gets confused!)
