I wanted to share a couple things with all of you. First I had the priviledge to watch Bob M1Carbine take Sec ond Place in Post War Armor this weekend. Here are a few photo’s I took on my bench the night before the show.
I also put his Stug III on one of my bases and it was so cool I wanted to share those as well.
Bob and I also had the oportunity to get some ref photos of some really cool vehicles and I wanted to share that as well. I know Indy has an American Dio coming up so hopefully these shots will be helpful!
Oh yeah I forgot I won 1st place in the Armor Dio\Vignette category for my Kubel Vignette. i think the Lizard put me over the top! [:D]
I also picked up a really cool Tasca Kit for $35.00 sealed in the box! I thought I was done with desert after my SAS Jeep vignette but I think I will be there a little longer. I have not built an actual tank since Octrober when I finished my M4 Sherman so I am excited!
Thanks everyone. All of Eds entries were just freaking stunning. The Kubel Dio in person is just stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. I have a bunch of photos as well but I am pretty wiped out from the drive back today so possibly tomorrow ill get them up.

Was nice to meet you and Bob there, and I was so impressed with the work you guys brought to the show. A first place for Ed, a second for Bob, and I got three third places. (Does three thirds add up to a first ? [:)] )
If anyone in Washington or Oregon was thinking of visiting the NOPMS show but has not made it, I highly recommned it! Not only is it a nice show, but the sights there at Fort Worden are well worth the trip. The Coastal Artillery museum has fabulous displays, featuring dioramas and scale mockups of the gun emplacements as well as uniforms and small arms. Tanya and I had a great time crawling about on the many concrete bunkers, and a real hoot to see all the places where “An Officer and a Gentleman” were filmed.
So Schnobs and Carbine, I came home and rescheduled some training that I had for September so that I can come down to Oregon for the IPMS Oregon Historical show . (Ed, maybe you will finally fix all those “problems” with your jeeps and get a ribbon or something. [whstl] )
Oh, and as to the lizard putting your Kubelwagon over the top- the lizard was a very nice touch! But I have to say that the work you did on those figures was what really made it pop for me. I had been away from the Forum for a while and I missed the WIP you did showing it all come together. I have bookmarked that now and plan to go through it slowly and see what I can learn. Great job!

Here are the three entries that I put on the table for NOPMS, my second modeling show so far. The other builders showed a lot of nice work there, and I think Bob took photos of everything and will post them soon.
This is an M2 Bradley that I did up with a full interior and turret. I did a WIP of this one on the Forum at /forums/p/123451/1237457.aspx#1237457 . Next I showed a Sherman that I built OOB and based on a photo from the USMC at Peleliu, and finally a Panther G Late model.
NICE ‘G’ !! I partricularly like the Bradley–Even though I don’t do ‘modern’–I’m sure it’s the figures that’s doin it for me–they look the part–very cool!
