Noobi Q F15E

Get ready for a lot more of these over the coming weeks…
I would like to Know what companies make the best F15E Kits for OOB builds in 1:48 & 1:32 and how big are they. I just don’t want to get anything to big beacause i dont have the room too keep them anywhere. Probably 60cm in length is the max i would like to buildat the moment but i will make exceptions for certin models and exceptionally good kits.

Well MikeV would be the 15 guy to go to. I would suggest if space is a concern, might be a good idea to stay away from the 1:32 scale.

Like Woodbeck said, 1/32 scale may be a little on the LARGE side[:D] (about 60 cm, right on your maximum), although the Tamiya kit is very cool. Unfortunately it’s also mega-bucks.
In 1/48 you’re looking at about 40 cm of length. I am building the older Hasegawa offering at the time, and it’s a very good kit indeed. My sample still depicts the first technology demonstrator, but they may have updated the kit since. Not certain though. From what I hear the Revell F-15E is the best one currently available, depicting an operational jet. Your best advice would come from Mr.Eagle himself of course: Mike V.

Filibert is correct, the Revell kit is the best one out there in 1/48 scale.
If you can find one the Pro Modeller version is the same as the Revell kit but it comes with more ordnance.
It is sometimes hard to find but I see them on Ebay all the time.
The Revell kit only comes with two 600 gallon tanks, and four AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles. The Pro Modeler kit comes with AIM-120’s, AIM-9’s, and two GBU bombs.

[#ditto] to what everyone has already mentioned. I have the Revellogram offering and have to get an ordnance set. Just might have to go on evil bay later to see how many Pro Modeller kits are on there.

have found the Revell one but not the pro modeller, oh well may just have to buy extra ordanance

I saw three of the Pro Modeler ones on Ebay recently and they all sold for about $19 which is cheaper than the Revell kit. [;)]
I bought the SOL corporation’s resin AIM-120’s, and the Hasegawa Aircraft Weapons  set for my GBU-12’s. The only problem was that the set comes with only six of the GBU-12’s and for the loadout that I am depicting on my F-15E I needed nine of them. A guy over on the ARC Forum was kind enough to send me three extras that he had as he went through the same thing as me and had to buy two of the Hasegawa sets for his bird.
So the Pro Modeler kit is nice in that it gives you the AIM-120’s which will cost you $13.47 for six of them from Squadron, so that is a nice savings.
The ordnance on the Pro Modeler is good for an all-around depiction of the F-15E but if you want to model one from OIF or OEF then you may need a lot more stores for the kit.
Here are some loadouts for the weapons stores for OEF and OIF birds if you care to look at them:

Hy.
In 1/48 the Revell kit is the best.
In 1/32 the Tamiya kit is excellent but huge. I’m currently building one, and it’s great. If you have questions about it, feel free to contact me.
