I have a Merkava Mk. III from Academy and an EE-T1 Osorio from Trumpeter… I’m afraid that both tanks have non-skid surfaces in hull and turret… But how to make it without ruining the model?.. I’ve heard about liquid cement and hard brushes, but I think it wouldn’t work for me… I’ve also seen that Merkava’s non-skid surfaces seem to be very rough… like sandpaper… Maybe I’ll try some white glue and a little fine sand… Any advice should be appreciated. while Gino’s method is a good one it’s not appropriate for the IDF anti slip. The antislip of the Merks are made of the sand and stones of the surrounding terrain. It is also much more course than the Abrams or most western antislips. here is how I do it. make sure you have some Liquid mask, and Mr. Surfacer 500. mask off all areas that are not to be hit by this. put some baking soda on a sheet of paper. take a brush, and mix some mr. surfacer with the baking soda. Dab it onto the surface of the tank, stiple it as you go along. It will gum up,but be patient, and continue to stiple it, and mix the soda with the surfacer. here’s a pic of my model with the surface done in this method.
